Your first question may be an oxymoron. I am not sure if it's possible.
I published a book on Kindle called Critical Revelations in the Realm of Contemporary Spirituality about a number of "flaws" in spiritual communities, but there's no way that would have led me to suggest staying with so-called "traditional" religion.
It's interesting to me that you are suggesting the idea that people should humbly pursue "emerging science." I posted an article on Medium about some of that as well, called Spaceship Consciousness: What Drives Us? John Horgan, the author of the book and related online interviews that I reference, said, "Wow, I love your essay, it may be my favorite response to Mind-Body Problems."
